The Keeper

Mystery and Thriller Not read yet — On the TBR shelf

Tana French's The Keeper: the final Cal Hooper novel returns to Ardnakelty when a local girl is found dead in the river — a slow-burn Irish mystery. Review soon.

The third and final book in the Cal Hooper trilogy takes us back to the remote Irish village of Ardnakelty, where a local girl goes missing only to later be found dead in the river. And once again, the investigation is entangled with the town's history, its decades-old grudges, and its subdivisions into factions. Expect another slow build with constant tension, as has been French's calling card with this series.

The experience of loving a book is not complete until you have turned around to someone and said, “You have got to read this.”
